Los Angeles, CA (Beverly Hills) | Full-time, in-person | Reports to the President

About HSR Media

HSR Media is a modern media and investing platform for ambitious women, built at the intersection of media, business, investing, and culture, co-founded by Maggie Sellers Reum in 2023. Our flagship podcast, Hot Smart Rich, is a Top 10 Business podcast featuring candid conversations with the founders, investors, creators, and cultural figures shaping what comes next.

In December 2025, Hot Smart Rich announced a landmark seven-figure strategic investment from FlightStory, the global media and investment company co-founded by Steven Bartlett, host of The Diary of a CEO, the second-largest podcast in the world. The partnership backs our ambition to build the biggest female ambition brand of the next decade.

Our world sits somewhere between the Wall Street Journal and your For You Page. We are equally interested in what everyone is talking about and the business behind why it matters, helping our audience understand not just what is happening, but what it signals about where the world is going.

The Role

We are hiring a Chief of Staff to act as a trusted proxy and operational right hand to our CEO, Maggie Sellers Reum, and our President, Katie Sellers. You will report to the President and work daily with both.

To be direct about what this role is: it is a player-coach position at an early-stage company. One hour you might be shaping the leadership agenda or coordinating an investment opportunity. The next you might be driving a podcast partner against a deadline or personally closing out a partnership deliverable. Nothing is beneath this role, and nothing is above it. You will operate across HSR Media, the Hot Smart Rich podcast, the MSR personal brand and partnerships, HSR Ventures, and new business initiatives, with visibility into how every part of the company actually works.

This is also, deliberately, a launchpad. The people who do this job well leave it with an operator's education you cannot buy: pattern recognition across media, consumer, and venture; a network built inside the rooms where decisions get made; and a track record of ownership at the center of a fast-scaling company. We expect this role to grow into a senior leadership seat or to launch you into whatever you build next.

What You Will Own

Leadership leverage. Translate CEO and President priorities into action and own cross-functional follow-through, so high-priority initiatives move forward without constant leadership oversight. Help set and drive the leadership agenda, prepare for and lead key internal meetings, establish clear owners and next steps, and make sure decisions become outcomes. Act as a gatekeeper for leadership time and access, using judgment to determine what requires CEO or President involvement and what can be handled or delegated.

Podcast and content operations. Own day-to-day podcast operations and external partner accountability: guest pipelines, production schedules, edits, approvals, publishing deliverables, episode updates, repackages, and follow-ups.

Partnerships. Own the operational execution of brand partnerships once commercial terms are agreed, including contracting, timelines, client communication, approvals, deliverable tracking, reporting, final delivery, and billing. Partner with the Founder Content Manager on sponsored creative to ensure concepts, assets, and revisions meet partnership requirements and deadlines.

Investing. Support HSR Ventures through research, analysis, diligence coordination, meetings, portfolio priorities, and follow-ups. Coordinate with the Reum family office and relevant support teams where business, investing, and personal priorities intersect.

New initiatives and building the company. Partner with the CEO and President to research and develop new business opportunities and drive approved initiatives from idea through execution, including initiatives that do not yet have a natural home. Support key hiring and team-building as HSR grows: role scoping, candidate evaluation, interviews, and onboarding. Build systems and identify opportunities to delegate, automate, streamline, and leverage AI as we scale. Prepare executive-ready briefings, memos, and presentations for internal and external engagements.

What Success Looks Like

By 60 days, you have mapped how the business runs, taken full ownership of podcast operations and partnership execution, and leadership trusts you to run key meetings and follow-through without oversight.

By 180 days, high-priority initiatives across the company move on schedule because of you. Partners describe HSR as the most professionally run operation they work with. The CEO and President spend their time on the highest-leverage work because everything else runs through you.

By 1 year, you have taken at least one new initiative from idea to launch.
